Handbuilding & Sculpture
Come make a variety of projects as you learn to build with this versatile material. Clay is soft and can be molded with your hands into a wide variety of forms from functional mugs and bowls to sculpture of all kinds. Projects range from flowers to a vase. Learn to make almost anything from figures, animals, and candle holders to abstract sculpture. Beginner projects teach the basic building techniques of coil, pinch, and slab construction with joining, shaping, texturing, and carving. When works are ready, enjoy learning glazing techniques including dipping, painting and using wax resist. Class includes two hours a week of studio time. Firing fees are not included in class tuition.

JOIN OUR SPRING 2 WAITLIST
To join this class waitlist, email [email protected] with your name, email address, phone number, and class you are interested in.
If we have availability in our Spring 2 Classes, we will reach out to our waitlists in April! Due to the popularity of our classes, we offer priority enrollment for current students to continue their class. Many students find that they want to continue their class beyond their initial session & it is common to take a Beginning class for a couple of sessions. If any spots become available in a class, or if a student is ready to move up, we are then able to offer registration to new students, starting with those on our waitlist.
