Mondays with Mireille

Mondays, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Instructor: Mireille Duchesne

Learn from one of our greatest local art masters using either soft pastels or oil paint. In Oil painting, Mireille will teach how to compose, mix paint, soften edges, and paint in layers. She uses the technique of Chiaroscuro and the technique of wet-on-wet. Additionally, you have the option to work with Soft Pastels- a beautiful and tactile medium. You will learn how to blend and render texture, how to compose a painting, and how to use light and dark to apply layers on layers of paint to obtain a luxurious, incredibly colorful painting.  Each student can work on their own subject matter and will receive individual instruction tailored to their own experience. This class is for all levels, from beginner to advanced students.

If we have availability in our Spring 2 Classes, we will reach out to our waitlists in April! Due to the popularity of our classes, we offer priority enrollment for current students to continue their class. Many students find that they want to continue their class beyond their initial session. If any spots become available in a class, or if a student is ready to move up, we are then able to offer registration to new students, starting with those on our waitlist.
Registration Opening April 15th.

    • Canson Mi teintes, Art spectrum Colourfix fine tooth paper, or Pastel mat
(If you use paper, I recommend a foam core to hold the paper with clips or tap)
