Featured Series: Bloom & Blossom
Hosted by local floral designer, Heather Maguire
The 2025 floral workshop Bloom and Blossom series is a celebration of colorful blooms. Each class provides instruction, materials and a casual/fun atmosphere of hands-on learning. Connect, Create and Celebrate working with flowers in an inspiring, artistic community-based environment! The creations for this Spring’s workshops are inspired by a myriad of sunsets for all seasons, using various color palettes. Expect some fun background music, and light bits, bites and sweets to sample. Students are welcome to BYOB. Please bring your own floral cutters if you own a pair.
Science and research have proven the countless benefits of creating and working with your hands. The “effort driven reward cycle,” illustrates the many benefits and rewards of working with flowers that extend far beyond creating a pretty design. Creative art classes and workshops such as this floral design class help to reduce anxiety, improve mood, sleep, memory and increase serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin- you’re literally adding years to your life taking a class like this!
The Bloom and Blossom floral workshops encourage admiration, attention to details, mindfulness, being in the moment, and connection to nature, yourself, and to others. Join instructor Heather Maguire as she creates a light-hearted, fun, intimidation-free class and demystifies the idea that you need years of experience, formal training to create a beautiful centerpiece, arrangement or bouquet.
