Beginner projects teach the basic building techniques of coil, pinch, and slab construction with joining, shaping, texturing, and carving. When works are ready, enjoy learning glazing techniques including dipping, painting and using wax resist.

This class includes an additional two hours of open studio time per week in addition to your class time!

Special Topic: Making the Table with Jill Leary

Tuesdays, 2:15pm-4:15pm

Part 1: The Basics (April 7th – 28th)
Part 2: Beyond the Basics (May 5th – 26th)

Create the pieces that bring a table to life! For students currently enrolled in Spring Clay Classes!

In this hands-on, two session mini-series, students will learn how to design and build individual, functional ceramic pieces that come together to form a cohesive table setting. Each class focuses on teaching the skills and techniques needed to create one featured form, giving you the foundation to repeat and refine that piece on your own studio time. Take either part or both (you do NOT need to take Part 1 to take Part 2)!
This class does NOT include open studio time!
