Bring your pottery to life with personalized designs.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to create your own stencil or silkscreen using the Cricut cutting machine.
We’ll begin with a full demonstration of how the Cricut works, from uploading your artwork to pressing the Cut button. After that, you’ll watch a live demo on stenciling and silkscreening on clay, including tips and techniques to help you achieve clean, consistent prints.
We’ll also discuss which types of designs are best suited for stencils and which work better as silkscreens, so you can choose the right approach for your artwork.
If you have an iPad, we encourage you to bring it. We’ll be using Amaziograph, an app that makes creating patterns simple and fun. You can download it ahead of time or we can help you install it during class. If you don’t have an iPad, no worries, you can work in Cricut Design Space.
Choose from our pre-set templates or bring your own 5” x 5” design idea. If time allows, we’ll begin cutting your stencils in class; otherwise, they’ll be ready for pickup within two weeks.
