Wednesdays, 10:00am – 12:00pm

Instructor: Maria Kaprielian

Good draftsmanship is the key to realistic drawings and if you can’t draw well, your paintings won’t look right! In this class for the beginner and intermediate artist we’ll cover the basic skills needed to create a finished drawing or the underlying sketch for a realistic painting.  Instruction will emphasize light and shadow, contour mapping, tonal value, perspective and scale.  Compositional elements such as focal point and editing will also be addressed, all in a relaxing, collegial atmosphere.

Current Session: Spring 2

Spring 2 (8 Weeks): May 5th – June 28th

No class Friday May 24th – Monday May 27th in observance of Memorial Day.
