Create a Pot et Fleur this Earth Day with instructor Heather Maguire. The class will create a potted arrangement inspired by the french style pot et fleur -- a style of flower arrangement which combines potted plants with cut flowers. Students will create a planter that contains both living plants and fresh cut blooms. A 'pot et fleur' gives students the lasting quality of plants combined with the beauty of fresh cut blooms. The cut flowers may be replaced when they expire to give the design extended weeks of beauty, while also reusing one pot, in the spirit of Earth Day. Flowers in blues, greens and yellows will combine to create a cool, crisp coastal spring sunset vibe. Included in registration: all students will receive a terracotta pot in which to create their workshop masterpiece.
