Much like we plant seeds in the soil, the Spring Equinox is a wonderful time to plant the seeds of intention in our minds and hearts. This 2-hour workshop starts with deep relaxation for the body and mind through the practices of restorative yoga and yoga nidra. From a state of rest, you will connect to your inner wisdom and true intentions. Bring these seeds of intention into the physical world by creating a personal mandala on a polished river stone using acrylic paint markers – no painting experience needed! This act of creativity provides an additional type of calming rest, vital to our sense of well-being. You’ll leave this workshop with a beautiful river stone, a tangible reminder of the intention you want to nurture and grow this spring.

5 – 10 minutes: welcome, introductions, explanation
25 minutes: deep relaxation with yoga nidra & restorative yoga; I will bring bolsters, blankets, blocks and will help participants settle into deeply relaxing restorative yoga (no movement) postures. Participants will then be guided in yoga nidra (again, no movement; it is deep relaxation.) From a state of deep relaxation and connection to their inner wisdom, people will be invited to set an intention.
5 minutes: journaling / reflection to integrate the intention that came up during yoga nidra and to transition into a more active state
70-75 minutes: creating mandalas on the stones (includes the stones and all tools to create a personal mandala, as well as examples and instruction);
10 minutes: reflection / closing in community
